SV Afghan Finest Kitchen became more than just food; it became a symbol of unity, a bridge between families torn apart by conflict. It represented our collective yearning for togetherness and the healing power of shared meals.

Our story

In the midst of unforgettable and sad memories, there was a difficult time when having a meal with my children became a painful reminder of the absent beloved ones. It was a time when I supposed to be around the table with my family, I was away at war in the Shok Valley, Nuristan, East of Afghanistan. The war brought a rain of bullets, the sight of blood, and the constant sound of gunfire. It was a time of hunger and thirst, wishing for one last glimpse of family, unsure if I would return home alive or dead.

It was a heartbreaking experience to have life without my family. The joy and happiness of being together as a family seemed distant and unattainable.

Reflecting on these challenging times, I counted the days and relived the hardest moments when I missed family, my beloved. It was during this introspection that the idea of starting Shok Valley assumed (SV Afghan Finest Kitchen Catering) took shape. I wanted to provide flavorful Afghan food infused with love, bringing people and families together. I envisioned a space where individuals could enjoy precious moments with their loved ones, friends, and cherished ones.
